MARCH VIRTUAL CHAPTER MEETING: "PODCASTING FOR AUTHORS 101" with GINA SOLDANO-HERRLE

Continuing our monthly alternating schedule of virtual chapter meetings and in-person meetups, March is a virtual month! On March 10 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM EST, join us for our virtual chapter meeting on "Podcasting for Authors 101" with guest author Gina Soldano-Herrle.

From equipment to content, find out what it takes to create a podcast of your own! Gina will share her experience beginning the podcast “Getting to the Heart of Why We Write,” along with key factors to consider when building your own show. Be sure to bring your questions for audience Q&A time at the end!

Gina Soldano-Herrle is a professional ghostwriter and author. She’s very active in the children’s writing community where she volunteers as a Connect Co-leader for Rocky Mountain SCBWI and was recently awarded a 12x12 Picture Book Challenge scholarship for 2024. Her debut picture book, Nia’s Rescue Box, a story about a child’s first experience with a food rescue, is available at most online booksellers. You can also find recent author interviews about “Why We Write” on Gina’s website and soon listen to them on your favorite podcast platform.

Details:

• The event will take place from 2:00 – 3:00 PM EST on Sunday, March 10th, via Zoom.

• This event is FREE, but you MUST REGISTER in order to receive the Zoom meeting link.

• The Zoom link will be sent after 5:00 pm on Friday, March 8th (two days before the event).

• There WILL be a limited time replay for this event.

• Our virtual chapter meetings are free and open to both SCBWI members and non-members, so do feel free to send this information to anyone who you think might be interested in attending.
