About Linda Mansfield

Indianapolis-based Linda Mansfield wrote a whimsical middle-grade children's novel, "Emma and the Reindeer," with a theme of environmental conservation. She used the pen name "Emma Gallagher" for it because the main character, 11-year-old Emma Gallagher, is tasked with writing a book to save both Christmas and the Earth! Mansfield is also the author of the “Two Good Feet” series of fictional, seasonal short stories for teenagers through senior citizens. Each of those four books — "Stories for the 12 Days of Christmas," "Twelve Stories for Spring," "Twelve Stories for Summer" and "Twelve Stories for Fall" — contains 13 stories to provide light reads for entertainment. The series offers 52 stories, or one for every week of the year. Mansfield is as a reporter, editor, and PR director. She owns Restart Communications, a motorsports PR firm. She has represented several IndyCar drivers and two overall winning teams of the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. She is also a veteran reporter for “Speed Sport Magazine.” Her articles have appeared in “The New York Times,” “The Wall Street Journal” and “USA Today,” among other publications. She has worked at a Manhattan publishing house, and she's the communications coordinator of North United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.
