Our annual report is an opportunity to share with our members, the publishing industry, and the public the exciting changes and news of how SCBWI has evolved over the previous year. It tells the story of our accomplishments and ongoing efforts to continue building an organization that members can be proud to be a part of. It gives insight into those who are keen to know how we are supporting authors, illustrators, and translators who create books for all the kids and young adults that deserve to see themselves in stories. SCBWI continues to evolve. The annual report gives our community a transparent look into what’s happening programmatically, financially, and organizationally as well as our governance. Every year we are looking for ways to improve the member experience, create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment, and to prove the value in being part of SCBWI. We hope you find this annual report useful in understanding SCBWI and how it works for its members and the children’s book publishing community.
