About Cat Galeano
A graduate of The New School's MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults, Cat Galeano is the Social Media Manager for The Highlights Foundation and a first generation Paraguayan-American. She previously worked news for a NY based public access station, NBC 4 New York and Telemundo. When she's not posting and reposting for The Highlights Foundation, she can be found writing picture books herself with Latine protagonists. She is currently available for freelance social media management, social media audits and improving your social media skills.

If you’d like to share your work in progress with others and receive or provide feedback, please bring printed copies of up to 5 pages of a manuscript to share. Zoom participants will be allowed to screen share in order to receive feedback. We’re always looking for guest speakers for our monthly meetings. If you’re passionate about a specific kid-lit related topic, feel free to pitch it to us! Guests can present in person or via Zoom and receive compensation as well as lunch after our meeting. Presentations take place on the last Wednesday of the month from 10am-11am and can be in the format of workshops, interviews, slideshows… you name it! Pitch us your ideas at brazosvalley-ra@scbwi.org
