Awards & Grants

How do I submit to an SCBWI award?

All SCBWI awards can be found on your Member Home. Click ‘My Awards’ to see all awards currently open for submission. You will be invited to upload your work through this secure portal.

Is there a submission fee for SCBWI Awards?

No, we do not charge fees for any SCBWI awards. All awards are open to Premium Members, so your SCBWI membership must be up-to-date when you apply and when the winners are announced.

Can I change my submission if I made a mistake?

Yes, if you have already submitted to an award, you may change your work any time before submissions close. On the ‘My Awards’ tab, there is a toggle in the upper right-hand portion of the screen labeled Open for Submissions. Click the arrow to view ‘My Submissions’. Here, you can edit any of your submissions before the deadline.

Should I expect a confirmation email when I apply for an award?

No. Due to the volume of award submissions, we are unable to send confirmation emails. You may view your previously uploaded submissions on your Member Home under the ‘My Awards’ tab. If they appear in the ‘My Submissions’ area, they have been accepted.

Why can’t I upload my PDF?

The file size limit for all PDF uploads is 20 MB. Please make sure your submission packet is under this limit. Also, make sure there are no special characters, such as apostrophes, in the file name.
